Our team is growing, and we’re looking for a  Fleet Operations Manager to lead the charge in Cincinnati, OH .

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic, hands-on  Fleet Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Birmingham location. This role is ideal for a driven leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about optimizing performance, managing budgets, developing talent, and growing the business.

You’ll be responsible for overseeing both employees and independent contractor drivers, ensuring a high-performance operation while focusing on profitability, compliance, customer service, and team development.

Key Responsibilities of a Fleet Operations Manager:

  • Profit & Loss (P&L) Ownership: Manage and optimize operational budgets; identify cost savings and revenue opportunities; analyze performance and drive financial results.
  • Fleet & Operations Management: Oversee vehicle deployment, maintenance, safety, and compliance across our local fleet.
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and retain a high-performing team of drivers and support staff—both employees and independent contractors.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue local market growth opportunities; cultivate business partnerships and community relationships.
  • Process Improvement: Implement operational best practices to increase efficiency and ensure consistent service quality.
  • Driver Relations: Serve as the point of contact for driver support, ensuring high satisfaction and effective communication across a diverse team.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to all city, state, and federal transportation regulations and company policies.

Qualifications of a Fleet Operations Manager:

  • Strong understanding of P&L management and financial reporting.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams of both employees and independent contractors.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Business development and recruiting experience a strong plus.
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed to meet operational demands.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and operational management systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, or related field preferred (but not required).
