A growing nonprofit is seeking a Grants & Contracts Admin to join the team! This position takes on a pivotal role in managing the organization's financial and contractual operations. This role involves creating, negotiating, finalizing, and issuing purchase orders and contracts to external parties, with a strong emphasis on financial accuracy, compliance, and cost management. This position is HYBRID Downtown Los Angeles.
Key Responsibilities
+ Draft, review, and manage contracts and purchase orders for a range of organizational needs, ensuring all financial terms align with budgetary and regulatory requirements.
+ Negotiate contract terms, including pricing, to secure the most favorable financial arrangements for the organization.
+ Evaluate bids and proposals to determine cost-effectiveness and financial compliance.
+ Research and enforce regulations to maintain up-to-date, financially compliant contract templates and documents.
+ Monitor project cash flow and assess budget availability to ensure adequate funding for procurement and contractual commitments.
+ Assist in the coordination and financial management of liquor licenses, insurance distributions, and other related documentation.
+ Provide additional financial oversight by ensuring contracts, purchase orders, and related activities comply with regulatory and organizational financial standards.
This role requires an in-depth understanding of financial analysis, compliance, and accounting principles to ensure the organization's procurement activities are cost-effective and aligned with its financial policies and regulations.
Requirements - Minimum of 3 years of experience in grant accounting or a related financial role.
- Proficiency in accounting software systems, including Abila MIP and ADP.
- Strong understanding of budget processes and financial management within grant-funded environments.
- Knowledge of auditing practices and regulatory compliance standards.
- Experience with cash activity monitoring and capital management.
- Ability to review and negotiate contracts with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with vendors, legal teams, and internal stakeholders.
- Familiarity with non-profit industry financial practices is preferred.
