Description Our client is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their team today. The Staff Accountant will play a pivotal role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with nonprofit accounting standards, and supporting the organization's financial health. This position offers the opportunity to transition from a temporary role to a permanent position based on performance and organizational needs.​ Key Responsibilities + Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts in accordance with GAAP and nonprofit accounting standards.​ + Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and timely.​ + Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.​ + Support the annual audit process by preparing necessary documentation and schedules.​ + Collaborate with program managers to monitor budgets and track grant expenditures.​ + Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies. + Participate in the development and implementation of accounting procedures and systems.​ + Perform other accounting duties as assigned.​ Requirements + Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.​ + Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably within a nonprofit organization.​ + Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage Intacct) and Microsoft Excel.​ + Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.​ + Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.​ + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.​ Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
