About the Client:
Our client is a dynamic IT Services provider supporting both commercial and federal clients. They are seeking a mid-level Network Engineer with hands-on experience in Meraki, Palo Alto Firewalls , and Cisco technologies to join their infrastructure team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring secure, stable, and scalable network environments across both on-premise and cloud-based platforms.

• Design, implement, and maintain network solutions leveraging Cisco Meraki, Palo Alto Firewalls, Cisco Routers/Switches, Cisco ISE, and Cisco Secure Network Analytics (SNA).

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues to ensure high availability and security.

• Monitor and optimize network performance, bandwidth utilization, and overall system efficiency.

• Create and maintain comprehensive network documentation including configurations, diagrams, and standard operating procedures.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with systems, security, and DevOps teams to support network integrations and deployments.

• Ensure network solutions are compliant with client policies and federal security standards.

• Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance (Active clearance is a strong plus)

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field - or equivalent hands-on experience

• 3 5 years of professional experience in network engineering roles

• Strong working knowledge of:

  • Cisco Meraki (APs, switches, SD-WAN)

  • Palo Alto Firewalls

  • Cisco Routers, Switches, and ISE

  • Routing and switching protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP)

  • Network security and segmentation

• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills

• Clear, effective communication (both written and verbal)

• Experience in enterprise or data center environments

• Certifications: CCNA, CCNP, or PCNSE

• Experience in Federal IT environments and understanding of government regulations

• Familiarity with NIST 800-171 / CMMC compliant network design

• Exposure to cloud networking (AWS, Azure) and hybrid architecture

• Knowledge of Zero Trust Architecture

• Experience with automation/scripting tools (e.g., Python, Ansible)

• Hands-on experience with network monitoring platforms like PRTG, or similar
